Kazo District Leaders Urge Residents to Observe Festive Season Responsibly

Leaders in Kazo district have urged residents to celebrate the christmas festive season responsibly, emphasizing safety, health, and financial discipline.

While addressing the Communications Officer for Kazo district on Tuesday morning at Kazo district headquarters, the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Hajji Badru Mayanja Majwala, called upon district staff and all public servants to observe the festive season with caution and responsibility.

Speaking from his office, Hajji Mayanja thanked the district staff for their commitment, coordination, hard work and motivation throughout the year. He also commended political leaders in the district for their cooperation with technical staff, which he said has contributed to the smooth implementation of government programs and projects.

The CAO cautioned residents to travel carefully during the festive season and to avoid reckless driving, noting that some people acquire vehicles during the Christmas period and may drive carelessly due to excitement. He further reminded the public to take precautions against HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases, stressing that these diseases are still prevalent.

The LC5 Chairperson of Kazo district, Rev. Samuel Mugisha Katugunda, advised residents to spend wisely during this festive season, reminding them that there is life after Christmas. He encouraged cooperation among the people and urged them to prepare peacefully for the upcoming elections. Rev. Katugunda also thanked district staff for their continued cooperation.

The Member of Parliament for Kazo Constituency, Hon. Dan Atwijukire Kimosho, expressed appreciation to the people of Kazo district for their support and partnership in development efforts. He encouraged residents to enjoy the festive season responsibly and warned against domestic violence, which he noted often increases during holiday periods.

Hon. Kimosho further cautioned against overspending, reminding families that schools will soon reopen and that other basic needs must be met after the celebrations. He also urged residents to support President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and National Resistance Movement (NRM) candidates in the forthcoming elections, saying this would help safeguard the development gains achieved under the NRM government.
